Day 4 October 29 Visit the Chateau de Vaux Le Vicomte which inspired Louise XIV to build Versailles and enjoy the Farewell Dinner (Day 1) Depart U.S. for Lyon, France

 

THE RHONE-SOANE RIVER CRUISE (4,395)

Day 5 October 30 (Day 2) Travel to, or arrive in, Lyon to board the Scenic Sapphire for the Rhone-Saone River Cruise and sail from Lyon to Toumus, Burgundy

Day 6 October 31 (Day 3) Tour an organic farm near Toumus specializing in truffles and in the afternoon tour the Chateau de Cormatin

Day 7 November 1 (Day 4) Sail the Burgundy region on the Saone River towards Belleville-sur-Saone and tour the village of Romaneche and then sail towards Tain l’Hermitage

Day 8 November 2 (Day 5) Take a walking tour of Tain l’Hermitage and enjoy a visit to the Valrhona Chocolate Factory before sailing to Avignon in the evening

Day 9 November 3 (Day 6) Enjoy a guided tour of Avignon with an optional visit to the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence
